I'm thankful for:
I am thankful for my
stepmom. she passed away this past Halloween to a brain aneurysm.
she was my mom of moms and my
best friend. she was always
there for me and she was the best. I now have a really
good relationship with my real mom, but nothing will take the place of
my step mom. I cannot
ever express enough in words what she meant to me. she was my hero, my
savior, my best friend in the whole world. she was my mom and I
love her and I will always love her. I will never forget her.

I am thankful for Melissa...my wife and best friend. She is leaving for the
mideast tomorrow morning, a brave woman in uniform, and I am going to miss
her terribly. I am thankful for all that she does for me each day...just by
being in my life. I am thankful for the freedom that she and others in the
military make possible. I am thankful for God.

I am thankful for ALL my blessings...step-daughter Lacey, biological
children Daniel, Cole, and McKenzie. But I'm especially thankful at
times because of my step-daughter. Having her in my life is a
special treat. Our relationship is unique...and well treasured. I am

President Stepfamily Network
Six years ago at this time the Stepfamily
Network was just getting launched. In six years we have expanded into a valuable
resource that reaches out to stepfamilies all over the world. Our support and
interest is growing. We have over 600,000 hits to our site per month! Over
20,000 questions have been submitted by visitors and we've answered them with quality
responses by our therapists. Our bookstore continues to
be a valuable resource. The Forum
page has been an enormous success thanks to the many volunteers who have
donated their time and thoughtful responses
Both of these have been a huge success.
While much of what our
network does is to help Stepfamilies with their immediate problems, we also help educate
the Stepfamily community at large. While our Stepfamilies have great challenges and
problems to overcome, I'm reminded that we also have much to be thankful for.
